Esports: More on the New Danish 'Gaming School' (thanks Mike Martinez) follows up on
an initial report we missed about plans to open a gaming school in Copenhagen.
ZoneRank has a
Q&A with Rasmus Pedersen about this project, but no one asks the obvious
question about fears that students of the gaming curriculum might end up wasting
study time studying math or science while they should be working on their
game.
Sid Meier's Railroads!
Intercontinental (thanks
Hooked
Gamers) offers a user created modification for Firaxis' rail simulation.
Word is: "With twenty new maps you should be playing well into the night and
then some. Don’t worry the fun does not stop there, far from it. SMRI is also
packed with new industries, larger maps, new goods and a train load of other new
custom assets."
The BloodSpell Website now
offers a new recut of the BloodSpell series of machinima clips made using the
Neverwinter Nights engine. The multipart series has been re-edited with new
footage to create a single feature-length production, running a staggering 84
minutes. The movie is available to stream or download, and word is a DVD version
is also in the works. Here's a bit: "BloodSpell has been four years (and one
month) in the making. It's a 'punk fantasy' adventure story, about a world where
some people are infected with magic in their blood. When that blood is spilled,
the magic comes out, to harm or heal."
What's that old saying? October comes in like a lamb, but goes out like a lamb?
It's going to be 72 degrees here today! Not that I'm complaining, I'm just
saying…
