Red Faction, MX to Return
on IGN offers a report from a conference call with THQ that revealed plans
for sequels to a few games, including another installment in the ground-breaking
Red Faction shooter series:
When asked to list the six key franchises
would be the focus of THQ's 2008 fiscal year, Farrell stated: "Saints Row,
Stuntman, which will be released this year, Juiced, which is a sequel to the
product we launched a couple years ago, Destroy All Humans, MX, and my favorite,
Red Faction."
Dan Aykroyd to appear in
Ghostbusters game on GameSpot has the latest word on plans for a game based
on
Ghost Busters, the iconic '80s supernatural comedy film. Following
Zootfly's odd mixed messages about their aspirations to create such a project
comes a comment from
Ghost Busters costar Dan Aykroyd to the
Edmonton Sun:
"Universal purchased the rights from Sony for a game.
I'm actually going to have to perform and do some motion capture for them. That
will be next year."
As noted on the
Lord of the Rings Online News Page, a new movie from the upcoming LotR
MMORPG is now available on the
LotR Online
Downloads Page. The new "points of interest" movie introduces the Dwarf
race. Also playing the race card is a new Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
movie that introduces the Scrin, the third playable race in the upcoming
real-time strategy sequel. The clip is available on
3D Gamers,
ComputerGames.ro,
Gamer's Hell, and
GameSpot.
Happy Groundhog Day! And what does the rodent have to say?
Punxsutawney Phil Predicts Early Spring! Well duh... according to my
calculations, in this area spring '07 actually began on the last day of Summer
'06.
