A BlowOut demo is available, a sample of Terminal Reality's platform action game
of a couple of years ago. The demo is likewise not new, it appeared in July, but
sat neglected until being discovered by sharp-eyed
Frans. The download is
available on
3D Gamers.
Momentum AS announces that Culpa Innata is gold, and gearing up for release.
They do not have a specific release date at this point, but word is: "I would
say we are all having beers, catching some sun at the coast and celebrating, but
localizations are now going on for four major market editions of the game. So we
are working fast and furious to get Culpa released 'world-wide'."
The
Penumbra Q&A on GameSpot talks with programmer Thomas Grip about Penumbra:
Overture, Frictional Games' upcoming first-person horror game based on their
tech demo: "The action in Penumbra: Overture is also very different from other
games in the same genre. In games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil the main
character is often well armed; however, in Penumbra the player is essentially
without any weapons. Instead she/he has to rely on their wits and stealth to
survive enemy encounters. A big part of the game is to use the environment; this
means the player can throw objects at enemies to knock them out, hide in
closets, barricade doors, and much more."
We attended midday soiree today. I have to say I appreciate someone planning an
event for a Sunday afternoon and having the consideration to pick a weekend when
the Giants' game is on Monday night. Now that's social grace. Unfortunately,
right before our departure, the server crapped out, and something seems to have
impeded getting this attended to until now, so apologies for the downtime.
