The
Hegemony: Philip of
Macedon Website is online, introducing an upcoming real-time strategy game
from Longbow Digital Arts based on the rise to power of Philip of Macedon,
father of Alexander The Great (thanks
Gametactics). There's no release date listed yet, but they do have some
screenshots and a short video showing off the project. Word is: "For the project
we've developed a new and innovative 3D landscape engine. The game map is
constructed from satellite DEM data and combines battle and strategy within the
same unified 3D world."
We had a parade go by here today, and we can't actually figure out what this was
for. We are right around Puerto Rican Day and the anniversary of D-Day, but
there was no indication that it was connected with either. I poked around on
various informational sites associated with our community but found no answers.
Oh well, no particular reason needed I suppose. As the old song lyric goes, I
love a parade.
