- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost
There's
a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Q&A on board.oblivion-lost.com
offering a translation of a Q&A with Anton Bolshakov originally posted in
Russian on
Kamrad.ru discussing the upcoming first-person shooter: "We are counting
months now, not years. Most of the game is now undergoing the publisher's
approval. In other words, the game is being judged by the publisher and
tuned in those areas the publisher feels need more work. In regards to
advertising. An active advertising campaign is not compatible with delays.
This leads to overexcitement of the fans and huge disappointment when
another delay is announced, which makes sense. This is why we are trying not
to get people too worked up, and to to work more. When we set a precise
release date, a full-blown advertising campaign will begin."
- SOE
Ask SOE #33 on EverQuest 2 Vault poses more questions to Steve
"Moorgard" Danuser of Sony Online Entertainment about EverQuest II: "As the
level of our average player continues to rise, we will keep on adding new
things for them to do. We're in the process of adding solo content paths for
all the overland zones, including high-level regions, which will be going
live soon. In Live Update #5, high-level players will be able to group up
and face a very tough challenge in the Return to Nektropos zone. This
dungeon offers a revamped version of our popular Castle Nektropos, allowing
players in the upper levels to face big challenges and reap great rewards."
- Dark Horizons: Lore Invasion
GameShark's Dark Horizons:
Lore Invasion Q&A is a timely Q&A with Adrian Wright about Max Gaming
Technologies' just-released mechanized combat expansion: "The multiplayer
bots are run on the new TorqueAI pack that will be released by 21-6
Productions very soon. We worked with them to add this important addition to
DH: Lore Invasion for several months, and it has worked out very nicely. The
bots can be good and bad, just like real players, and they do what what real
players may do in game. If it's a Team Death Match, their priority is to
kill the other team. If it's a Capture the Core, their priority is to
capture the core. Sadly, I have been in test games where the bots have a
better kill efficiency than the players."
Steam News

Who needs an alarm clock? Gunnar, our super poodle puppy, has developed a
habit that we've never seen a hint of in Hudson the wonder dog. Every day he
comes into the bedroom and starts barking his little head off to make sure
everyone is awake. The thing is that this happens at precisely 6:51 every day
(weekends included, thank you very much). Heaven only knows how the little guy's
internal clock got so precise, but one can only hope he develops new habits
soon... or at least a snooze alarm.
