Extended Spartan Demo

Slitherine has released an extended demo for Spartan, their empire-building strategy game, saying that they've received feedback from owners of the full game that the 30 turns allowed in the original Spartan demo did not give a feel for the game's potential. The 91 MB download can be found on 3D Gamers, Gameguru Mania, Gamer's Hell, GameSpot DLX (registration required), and Worthplaying.

Morning Q&As

  • Stolen
The Stolen Q&A on Games-Fusion talks with Jaid Mindang of Hip Games about Stolen, their upcoming stealth game: "To add, we believe also that Stolen distinguishes itself by the absence of lethality in dealing with the enemies. You can destroy the drones, but you can’t kill any guards, only incapacitate them or knock them out temporarily. A large portion of the player’s abilities are geared around avoiding detection and actively evading capture."
  • Scrapland
The Scrapland Q&A on FileFront talks with American McGee about Scrapland, Mercury Steam's new action game: "There were a lot of outside influences for both the art style and the story. This is a very story driven game, so everything ultimately flows from the narrative. That result is a highly detailed world that feels very realistic. Some of the inspiration came from well-known classics like Star Wars, The 5th Element, and Blade Runner. The final result is very unique though."
