A fond farewell to Bob Murphy, NY Mets announcer who is calling his last home
game tonight. I grew up listening to Bob along with Ralph Kiner and the late
Lindsey Nelson do Mets games, and the fact that he's been carrying on since the
team's very first game in 1962 has provided amazing continuity for those of us
following the Amazings. There may be more victories and championships in the
team's future, but they won't be the same without Bob's "happy recaps."
