The
BF1942 Dedicated Server Page on
lightcubed.com (thanks
Frans) now offers downloads of a new beta 2 of the
version 1.45 dedicated Linux server for Battlefield 1942. This is a bug fix
release to address a couple of issues with beta 1.
The
Battlefield 1982 Website now offers a
new version A1.1 of this vehicular combat modification for Battlefield 1942.
Though this release does not offer the promised CTF mode, it does provide
several tweaks in addition to the obvious BF1942 version 1.45 compatibility,
including tweaks to a couple of maps, protection from splash damage when inside
vehicles, improved jets, and more.
Doomsday HQ (thanks
Frans) now
offers downloads of a new version 1.7.12 of Doomsday, a modified version of the
DOOM/Heretic/Hexen source code. The update adds a few fixes and new features,
with a major focus on fixing and tweaking the rendering engine.
Registration is now underway for
TotalFrag's
RtCW: Enemy Territory Tournament, which is an online tourney offering ATI
video cards among the prize packages.
The
Scion Studios Jobs Page
has added a production assistant position to the openings they are looking to
fill. Scion is a satellite studio of Epic games located in Raleigh, NC.
Happy Labor Day! Here at the Blue Tower we celebrated this annual commemoration
of hard work by sleeping in until nearly noon. In fear that this may not do the
occasion justice, we're considering a secondary celebration later that will
consist of napping.
R.I.P. Charles
Bronson dies at 81. I think I'll watch Once Upon a Time in the West
today.
