This America's Army
Forum Post (thanks Frans) quotes the AA project leader from IRC, saying the
version 1.9 patch in the story below this is genuine, it has been prematurely
released, and therefore no servers are online yet (apparently the server port is
still being finalized). According to one of the posts, until the release goes
live, version 1.9 clients will be unable to authorize. A
subsequent post by Abraxas has word straight from the game's executive
producer/director: Due to a security issue with one of our third-party
vendors, 1.9 was mistakenly made available. For those who download it, be
advised that there are no official servers available to play, and you will be
unable to authenticate. We are still in the process of setting up servers for
1.9. As soon as this process is complete, 1.9 will become functional.

eCommerce Server, where there is a charge to download. Update: As the
story above this details, this is indeed the new version, but it has been
released prematurely, and no servers are yet available. Mirrors of the premature
release can be found

Today was supposed to be our doggie houseguest's departure day, but due to
insane rainfall around these parts (there are flood reports and the whole nine
yards), it's possible her adoptive folks' flight was cancelled, we're not even
sure they're back in town yet. That's okay, we're going to miss the little
pistol when she goes, so an extra day or two is more than welcome.
Note to self: Check the LAN hub when the internet goes down, not just the DSL
router... the time saved on the occasions when the hub's power supply just needs
jiggling will be worth it.
