My computer is still winning our battle of wills, but I keep pointing out to it
that this is a marathon and not a sprint, so no victor can yet be declared (but
this machine tasks me.... oh how it tasks me!). After being startlingly on the
money in predicting our last couple of severe winter storms, the local
weatherman is now oh-for-two on his last couple of forecasts, as the snow we
were told to expect late last week never materialized, and the heavier storm
predicted for this weekend has turned into rain rather than snow. This is more
than welcome, since we still have an insane amount of snow on the ground, I just have to hope not too much of it ends up in my basement.
