A post to the Infogrames Forums by Epic programmer Steven Polge (thanks Unreality) has preliminary word on what to expect from the next UT2003 patch, though it is pointed out that there is no planned date to even beta test this patch yet, since they plan on releasing their bonus pack first (story). Included in the list of changes is the ability to play as different default characters, an option to have "smaller" first person weapons, performance and networking improvements, new spectator options, and more.

Out of the Blue

Likely you have already seen the unfortunate follow-up to the story mentioned here the other day: Teenager in Botched Transplant Dies. She was fighting terribly long odds, but there were certainly a lot of us hoping for a happy ending to this sad tale. Coincidentally, there have been a few other interesting transplant-related stories the past few days: Transplant survivor celebrates another year, Savannah Woman Receives World's First Wrist Transplant, and Surgeon Who Performed First Heart Transplant Dies.

Play Time: Despot or Sexpot? Thanks Mike Martinez.
