A new version 1.3.6 of the
Purge Online
beta is now available. The new beta build of this upcoming LithTech online
FPS/RPG offers significant netcode optimizations, and player-created structures
should no longer increase ping significantly. In addition the update addresses
several reported bugs.
The
Harvard
Bonin Interview on GBASE.ch is a German-language conversation about Command
& Conquer Generals conducted during the German launch of the latest installment
in the C&C series of RTS games. Sticking a
Babel Fish
in your ear will provide a rough translation if you do not sprechen. Topics
include gameplay, mods, cheaters, and more.
I got to play Mr. Fixit yesterday, as I busted out my loosest pants to show off
some butt cleavage and fixed the innards on a toilet that refused to cease
refilling after being flushed. This might serve as further reinforcement for my
ego about my growing home handyman skills, since this is the second time I've
replaced the faulty workings in a toilet. Unfortunately the fact that this is
because I am re-fixing the same toilet that I repaired last time, I don't
think I can take too much pride in a restoration that operated properly for all
of about a year (of course it could be far worse -- many failed plumbing
projects involve mops and buckets). Oh well, here's hoping that the second
time's the charm, 'cause I really don't want to do this again.
