Out of the Blue

Had a pleasant enough time visiting GrandmaBlue at the old folk's home. In an interesting turn of events, she has acquired one of the baby dolls that we've seen some of the other residents holding during previous visits. I had never heard of this before seeing this there, but we had already observed that nurturing the faux babies seems to comfort those who have them, so in spite of this all seeming a bit weird/borderline creepy, we're hoping this does the same for GrandmaBlue.

Was certainly an interesting season finale to the Sopranos last night... as always, I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it yet, but I will just wonder briefly how much longer they can open more story threads than they close every week before expanding the episodes to longer than an hour. Anyway, it certainly does seem like they've prevented themselves from being able to pull the "time passes and stuff we won't explain has happened" between seasons this time... even if it takes a couple of years to get the next season on the air, it really does seem like they have to pick up more-or-less where this one left off.

Link of the Day: Mothers Against Peeing Standing Up. Thanks MoE ^ZuLu^.
Wild Science: Robots lay fiber-optics in city sewers. Thanks Mike Martinez.
Weird Science: Turning food waste into plastic. Thanks Mike Martinez. Obviously they've never eaten in a school cafeteria, where they accomplish the opposite every day.

Auction of the Day: 18" chrome rims (4) off Mitsubishi 3000 VR 4. Thanks Dennis. Typo or psycho?
