I visited my friend with the Airport wireless network again, and it turns out
whatever glitch that knocked me offline as I was departing the last time I tried
this was temporary, because I was able to connect easily. As was pointed out in
our forums after I first mentioned this, getting this to work on a PC with WEP
enabled involves generating an equivalent WEP keyword from the Mac side for the
PC side, so it's not without its tricky aspects, but the F.M. seems to have disappeared,
so that's a relief. Cross-platform wireless networking... now we're talking!
The season has only been over for a week, but I miss Curb Your Enthusiasm
