New League of Legends Mode: Co-op vs. AI is LIVE
Riot Games, the developer and publisher of the highly acclaimed PC game League of Legends, has just unleashed a brand-new way to play: Co-op vs. AI.
Riot Games has been hard at work augmenting LoL’s AI, allowing them to produce more challenging computer controlled enemies. Players will now be able to square off against a team of enemy AI bots on Summoner’s Rift, one of LoL’s well-known maps. Players will be able to select from either “Beginner” or “Intermediate” skill level, then join with a team of allies seeking a similar challenge. This fast, convenient way of finding matched cooperative sessions makes for the perfect practice venue for players who are either just starting out or testing the skills of a new champion before battling live opponents.
To see these bots in action have a look at the recent “Rioterz vs. Bots” match showcasing how smart the new bots are:

Here are just a few of the new AI-controlled Champions that you might run into on the Field of Justice:
- Renekton
- Trundle
- Miss Fortune
- Ashe
- Warwick
- Cho’Gath
- Taric
In addition to the new available champions, you might spot bots performing such devious actions as ganking mid, defending dragon, or purchasing Guardian Angel Armor, just as a human player would. Moreover, rewards for Co-op play (both experience and IP) will be greater than those awarded by standard Custom Games.
