UBI SOFT TO LAUNCH SIX GAMECUBE™ TITLES IN THE U.S. BY MARCH 2002
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - September 6, 2001 Ubi Soft Entertainment is putting
considerable weight behind Nintendo’s GameCube™, announcing plans to ship
titles within the first months of the U.S. launch of the new console system.
Ubi Soft will release: · Batman Vengeance · Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
Rogue Spear™ · Rayman®Arena · Evolution Worlds · Disney’s Tarzan Untamed
· Disney’s Donald Duck Goin’ Quackers
As a publisher with the second largest internal game creation force in the
world, Ubi Soft is in a position to build a strong catalog of GameCube titles.
Five of the six titles coming out by March are being developed internally. The
company plans to release 20 GameCube titles in 2001-2002. Ubi Soft’s
positioning on GameCube is consistent with its strategy to have a strong
presence on all high potential platforms and to showcase the technological
know-how of its talented production team.
“We strongly believe in the success of GameCube. It is clearly a next
generation system which will reach millions of players thanks to its mass market
price, quality titles and GAME BOY® Advance link,” said Yves Guillemot,
President and CEO, Ubi Soft Entertainment. “Nintendo has 18 solid years in
interactive entertainment and they have created a pure gaming machine that
promises innovative experiences for players.”
