Tripwire Interactive will publish ACE team's stunning first-person fighting game, Zeno Clash, in North American retail stores
Roswell, GA, 5th October 2009: Tripwire Interactive is proud to announce that
we will be publishing the ACE Team’s stunning first-person fighting game, Zeno
Clash, in North American retail stores. Zeno Clash is set in a fantasy universe
with game play focused on melee combat and the use of some unique ranged
weapons, from crossbows to fantasy firearms. The game includes a full single
player campaign with 18 levels, a challenge mode with 8 levels where players can
compete through a leaderboard and an optional model pack download for use in
Garry’s Mod. The game will be available in stores across the USA and Canada
soon.
Zeno Clash has been nominated for awards from the Independent Games Festival and
Indiecade, as well as achieving high praise from the critics:
“A completely welcome contrast to anything you've ever played, supported by the
most intense first-person fisticuffs we've seen in a game” – PC Gamer
“Zeno Clash sticks with you long after you play it, and that's a compliment many
games aspire to have associated with them.” – IGN
“This is melee done right, set in an astonishing world, brimming with
imagination.” – Edge Magazine
Alan Wilson, Vice-President of Tripwire Interactive, said: “Zeno Clash is one of
those truly stand-out games that we are really proud to be associated with and
to have as our first third-party title to publish. The game is genuinely
memorable and has the best melee combat mechanics we’ve ever seen. What makes
this deal even more memorable for us, is the fact that the ACE Team’s history
parallels our own – an ex-mod team that has funded themselves and succeeded in
developing and releasing a great first title.”
Andres Bordeu, cofounder of ACE Team said: “We’re thrilled to have reached this
publishing opportunity with Tripwire Interactive. Tripwire is a company that we
greatly admire and identify with, and we’re very happy that they chose Zeno
Clash to be their first third-party title. We’re certain that our game is in
great hands and we’re excited about finally reaching the retail market in the US
and Canada.”
