CAPCOM MOBILE MAKES A MILLIONAIRE FOR THE PALM WEBOS MOBILE PLATFORM
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Now Available For Palm Pre
LOS ANGELES – Oct. 6, 2009 – Capcom® Mobile, a leading developer and publisher
of mobile games, today announced the launch of their hit title “Who Wants To Be
A Millionaire” for the Palm® webOS™ platform. The application is available for
download now in the Palm App Catalog on the Palm Pre™ phone for $4.99.
Like the hit show, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" challenges players to
correctly answer 15 questions of progressive difficulty with the help of four
lifelines -- Ask the Audience, Phone a Friend, Double Dip and Ask the Expert.
Ten actual "Experts" from the show provide answers to the game's 1,000
questions. Additionally, a game clock keeps the action fast and fun as
contestants are able to bank unused time for the million-dollar question.
“We are excited to be among the first applications available for purchase in the
Palm App Catalog,” said Midori Yuasa, President, Capcom Interactive, Inc. “Who
Wants To Be A Millionaire for Palm Pre offers fans outstanding graphics,
excellent gameplay and an experience that’s authentic to the legendary
franchise.”
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the 1999 launch of "Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire" in the U.S. Throughout the last decade, $133 million has been won
by hot seat contestants. This fall, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" with host
Meredith Vieira, presents the "Million Dollar Tournament of Ten" November 9 –
20, featuring the season's top ten contestants as they each look at a $1-million
question in a seeded format. The highest seeded finalist to correctly answer his
or her $1-million question will win the tournament's $1-million prize. Viewers
can track the top players on the Tournament’s Leader Board, to see who will come
back in November for a shot at $1-million. The Leader Board will be updated
daily at www.millionairetv.com.
