Nineteen-Year-Old Kevin Lin Drives Away in a New Car

Ndoors Interactive today announced that the grand prize of the Atlantica Online summer Mega-Event, a brand-new 2010 Scion tC Sports Coupe, was awarded to 19 year-old Kevin Lin from San Francisco, California. Lin was flown to Los Angeles last week to claim his prize and meet the team behind the game that has made him the proud owner of a new car.

Over this past summer, more than 100,000 hopeful gamers spent time playing Atlantica Online for a chance to win dozens of great prizes including Nintendo DSi’s, Xbox 360’s, Playstation 3’s, Alienware Computers and many more great prizes. Kevin Lin’s consistent play and key redemption put him in the running for the grand prize, which he was awarded by random drawing among those eligible. His victory might have been for naught if it wasn’t for the support of his Guild members in the game.

It was not until several days after he had won that Lin found out. “I don’t check my e-mail very often so apparently I had won almost a week before I even knew about it. Actually it was some of my buddies in the Guild who told me to go check my e-mail because the winner’s name had already been announced,” said Lin.

Standing by his new ride with the keys in his hand, Lin remarked, “This was so unexpected. I knew the contest was going on but I never thought I would win the car. I didn’t believe it at first, I kind of still don’t.”

On what he plans to do next Lin told reporters, “I’m going to drive this car home and show it off to everyone! And keep playing Atlantica Online - I’d still go home and play even if I hadn’t won anything!”
