Kotaku reports a rumor following Midway's Chapter 11 filing that the rights to publish Wheelman, the driving action game starring a virtual Vin Diesel, have shifted to Ubisoft. Though this has not been confirmed, since it was originally reported, the listing for Wheelman on GameFly has been updated to list Ubisoft as publisher, and TBD as a release date. The Kotaku article also speculates the game may be rebranded as part of the Driver series, as Ubisoft also acquired the rights to that series, and the concept of the Wheelman fits very nicely with that series where the first game was subtitled "you are the wheelman."
