MCV reports from an Atari press event in the UK where June 2009 was
announced as the release date for Ghostbusters: The Video Game, the movie tie-in
that was in limbo after being dropped by Vivendi before being
picked up by Atari. Word is the game will see a simultaneous
release on Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, and PS2. Also from that
event is a report on
Eurogamer,
where they say that Infogrames president Phil Harrison said Atari plans on
revisiting several highly regarded franchises, though this is looking forward to
2010 and beyond, as Harrison says: "You will hear more from these but not today,
because we're focused on 2009." The franchises specifically mentioned are
Baldur's Gate, Dungeons & Dragons, Neverwinter Nights, and
Test Drive Unlimited.
