Looks like we're in for some snow around these parts. I actually thought it had started sleeting yesterday late in the afternoon, as I could hear it beating down on the back deck when trying to let the dog out. I still didn't put two-and two together later as I tried to investigate why the water pressure seemed low and there was the ongoing sound of pipes running in the house (but thankfully no accompanying flood to be found). Turns out a hose had burst in the backyard, and was spraying for hours before I realized it, so it had the net effect of sleet, as the back deck is now a skating rink.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts expressed about Willie the cat's surgery. He came through it great, and now we'll just have to see how things progress from here. He's quite the little survivor, so I have high hopes that he's surprise us with how well he recovers from all this.
