ArcheAge Open Beta

Trion Worlds announces open beta testing is underway in ArcheAge, XLGames' fantasy sandbox MMORPG. This will run through Monday, and the game will launch for headstart customers one week from today. Here's word:

Trion Worlds, global developer and publisher of premium online games, and Korean game developer XLGAMES, will be officially launching ArcheAge, the long-awaited, free-to-play fantasy sandbox MMORPG, on Tuesday, Sept. 16. In advance of the gameís official launch, fans in North America, Europe, and Oceania will be able to participate in the ArcheAge Open Beta starting right now through Monday, Sept. 8. Then on Sept. 12, players who have purchased Founderís Packs will be able to get a Head Start in ArcheAge, where player empires will rise, wars will rage, and bold spirits will lead the way into a new age of adventure.

Created by Jake Song, best known for his international online blockbuster Lineage, ArcheAge is a vast MMORPG adventure free from pre-defined paths and progression. Players can create unique and elaborate homes, build farms that drive the world economy, and sail their ships to uncharted lands where they can construct massive castles as they lay claim to rich and vibrant realms. ArcheAgeís PvP system allows players to fight for glory in huge battles on land and sea, or even shun the two factions and live the life of a pirate!
