Web-based Assassin's Creed Pirates Demo

An Assassin's Creed Pirates Demo is online, as a web-based entry in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series of stealth/action games. This is a PC version of the mobile Assassin's Creed built using Babylon.JS, an open-source 3D engine that is built on WebGL, Javascript, and Typescript, according to this story where they have further details and quotes. ""When Assassin's Creed Pirates was released on mobile, it received high praise for its groundbreaking visuals," explains Francois Bodson, Studio Manager. "We wanted to see if a game like this could be possible on the Web. It's difficult to really know where web-gaming is headed, but we can be sure that Babylon.JS and Internet Explorer today, in terms of gaming, are great platforms to demonstrate its potential." This video shows off the project, and though there is a Microsoft focus, word is this will play on browsers other than Internet Explorer.
