Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer Details

Capcom Unity has a post about Lost Planet 3 multiplayer support corresponding to the trailer released yesterday showing off the multiplayer support in the upcoming shooter sequel (they offer a new version of the trailer with the PC logo that was missing from the Japanese edition of the clip from yesterday). Here's the accompanying explanation:

The game will feature four different multiplayer modes spanning six diverse maps. We'll have even more info leading up to the game's release on August 27th (NA) and August 30th (EU), but for now we're showing off the Scenario Mode and Akrid Survival Mode.

First things first: check out the new multiplayer trailer and a heap of new screenshots and info after the jump. You can also look forward to lots more press coverage for the game over the coming days, including a special Unity video interview with the game's producer, Andrew Szymanski.

Scenario Mode sets each team with a series of either offensive or defensive challenges and mixes them up with the extreme and unpredictable conditions of E.D.N. III. Players can compete in both third-person on-foot action and in first-person combat using Vital Suits, a futuristic staple of the LP series.

Akrid Survival sees two teams of three players compete independently of each other in a series of encounters against waves of hostile Akrid before the teams go head to head in a final PvP elimination round.
