Gaslamp Games Interview

An interview on Gaming On Linux talks with Gaslamp Games about Dungeons of Dredmor and future plans from the developer. They discuss the game, and of course their interest in its use of Linux. When asked, they offered details on what could change their multi-platform philosophy going forward: "Never make promises that you can’t keep. If we start building titles that use OpenGL features and extensions that are not supported on the OS X or Linux driver stacks, that might be an issue in the future. Since the closed-source Linux drivers mirror their Windows counterparts pretty closely, I don’t see it being a big issue for Linux. We also now - thankfully! - have OpenGL 3.2 support on OS X, but it means that our next game will require Lion to run. That said, the plan going forward is to put the next title out for all platforms and see where we go."
