Steam now offers a patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops with multiplayer improvements for the Windows edition of the just-released military shooter. The new version has fixes for the "join in progress" function and the "Friends" tab in the server browser along with performance improvements for dual- and quad-core systems. A post to the game's official forums outlines the roadmap for future changes:
