Quest Online announces it has filed a lawsuit against former managing member David Allen over circumstances surrounding development of Alganon, their subscription-free MMORPG. They refer to this as a counter-suit, as Allen apparently sued Quest Online back in March. Word is: "Alganon, the company's flagship product, is a game that the investors had originally invested almost $4M to develop and which ended up being released in an incomplete and exceptionally faulty state in December 2009 under Allen's leadership. That action resulted in the game and company generating a lot of bad press for the company as well as the game." The release goes on to praise the efforts of Derek Smart, their new president, in getting the game back on track, saying he has been added as a managing member of the LLC. As might be expected, Derek Smart's blog has further commentary on this situation from the outspoken developer.
