Studio MekTek announces the release of version 3.1 of MekPak, their MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries community expansion pack. They also announce this will be followed in two or three weeks by the beta release of Open MekPak4. They reference the free MechWarrior 4 release they prematurely said was due "very shortly" several months ago. There is an odd explanation for this, saying: "Due to the demands placed upon us by industry lawyers to release the Mechwarrior4 Free release we were forced to insure our Studio at a premium rate to meet the Microsoft standard."
