Square Enix announces plans to launch three new Battle Area add-on scenarios for FINAL FANTASY XI over the course of this year, offering "new stages for epic combat, providing high-level players with new equipment to collect and challenging monsters to battle." These scenarios will require ownership of the previously released RISE OF THE ZILART and WINGS OF THE GODDESS expansions to allow players to travel from Abyssea to shining Abyssea in Vision of Abyssea, Scars of Abyssea, and Heroes of Abyssea. The scenarios will be $9.99 USD each, and the first to be released will be Vision of Abyssea, expected this summer.
