Do I Need the Patch?
If you are running the original release version of Elite Force, we recommend that you upgrade to version 1.1. The patch includes a number of important fixes and new joystick code. A list of the improvements and fixes is provided below.
To determine your current version, run either the Single Player or Holomatch version of the game. On the bottom row of the main menu, towards the right side is an indication of the version number. The original shipping version will show 'V 0.28'. If you have this version, you should install the patch.
Once correctly patched, the game will register 'V 1.10'. If your version of the game shows this number or a higher one, do not install this patch.
Patched versions of the game will include the file 'Pak1.pk3' in the BaseEF folder.
Major Fixes:
Single Player
In the Dreadnaught levels, your teammates will no longer attack you if you destroy the turrets they were fighting.
In the Dreadnaught levels, some users were encountering an issue involving Tuvok becoming stuck in a cinematic. This issue has been resolved.
At low frame rates, it was possible for event triggers to not activate. The method of triggering events has been modified to address this problem. A similar problem involving the completion of cinematics has been fixed.
Multiplayer (Holomatch)
The game will now accept CD-Keys that were incorrectly printed with spaces instead of zeroes ('0') in the final two characters of the CD-Key.
