S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Patch

The first patches are now available for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, updating GSC Game World's first-person shooter prequel to version 1.01. There is one patch for the retail edition of the game and another for the digital download edition, and both can be found on the Clear Sky Downloads Page. Word is: "Here you can find the patch V1.01 of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. The patch optimizes the performance of Clear Sky approximately 5 %. In addition to that the patch improves the overall stability of the game and fixes potential load/save issues. Further the balancing of the multiplayer mode has been changed." Thanks YiYas.

	People are so hard up that they are grabbing the Russian version and patching it with some shitty English translation patch. I want the game badly too and will buy it day one, but if I see an English torrent of it on the 5th i will get that ahead of the game. Such a cool game, my fav for last year!

	This sucker has not been getting very good reviews. Metacritic has it at 78 but most the reviews at 70 and under and some are 60's even. Anyone who's playing that can tell me how the game is? I enjoyed the original quite a bit though I never got very far for some reason. I may pick this one up to but reviews aren't looking that great.

	They recalled the US release because of some missing CD keys or at least that was one story i read. it was supposed to be out on 9/3 here but got pushed back to 9/15 at least for retail stores. As for digital downloads I don't know I don't use them i want a hard copy. Im sure I will pick this up at some point as it will only get better after the mods and user fixs come out just like the first game.

	lol, not exactly unexpected, but still funny to see nonetheless. Hopefully this update is already applied to the Steam version whenever that comes out.

	I'm really excited, but also really nervous that this will end up just like the first - a medicore experience until the mods and patches start materializing. This will also be the first new game I'll be able to play with a significantly upgraded system, so I'm especially anxious to try it out!

	The few reviews of this game don't make me want to buy it. Also the fact that you have to release a day 1 patch to fix potential save game problems is a colossal clue that the game is not fully baked.

	Sounds like another rocky start with there second title. I loved the first STALKER but it took a few patches to get it stable & playable. Now with this release looks to be the same thing. R.I.P George Carlin 1937-2008
