A new Mercenaries 2: World in Flames trailer offers a look at Pandemic Studios' upcoming open-world action game sequel. The clip features gameplay footage showing the achievement of a "typical objective," along with narration from designer Scott Warner. The clip is available on ActionTrip and Gamer's Hell.

	I'm looking forward to this game. I liked Mercenaries, but I thought it was a wee bit too directionless for my tastes. This looks cool, but I think the variation in the styles is pretty subtle. It doesn't seem like there's any one thing that one can do that another can't. Maybe with the exception of the guy with the missile armed buggy. I just hope the variety of the characters is core game play, and not a gimmick.

	What game was I thinking about where it was squad-based RTS'ish..where you had to sneak your guys into a bad guys base and kill people without becoming noticed? I thought it was this game? Anyhow.. this game looks cool.

	mercenaries was my favourite game on xbox bar none. seriously under-rated. can't wait for this.

	Covert is a lot like the game worked in the first Mercenaries where people wouldn't recognize you until you shot at them, so you could get deep into enemy territory before lighting things up, and get back out after a mission if you were careful.

	why would anyone use "covert" when you can simply blow the living shit out of everything in a couple spectacular explosions?

	Yeah, same here. Looks like I might just have to get this if it turns out that the game is as good as this video makes it look!
