Reports like
this one on StarCraftWire indicate Blizzard is working on an unannounced MMOG, so folks are sending in
tips about the news. The thing is this is the exact same story that was reported
in December 2007 ( story), down to the fact that it is based on
the same job listing from the time. We tend to ignore previously reported news
here, but the flood of mail about this makes me think this may not be the right
approach. I'll have to contemplate this, but I think I may have to start
re-reporting some of these things just to make things easier on those helpfully
trying to keep us informed.

Just going to mention that this isn't old news at all. That Blizzard are looking for "next gen MMO devs" is old, sure, but the fact that this ISN'T Hydra/Diablo III is very new, and very fresh. It's basically a confirmation that they have 4 teams, and not 3, which was only speculations in the past.

World of Starcraft will be the best kept secret since Draenei were announced as the second race for Burning Crusade. :p
No surprises. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I'm not even a fan of Starcraft and I'd give my left nut for a WoS. There's no good sci-fi character-based MMO's to compete with it.
Lvl 80 Ghost LFG?

kxmode, I could see that happening with Starcraft, but I think it would be stupid for Blizzard to make a Diablo MMO at this point in time. It's just too similar to WoW.

I also have to say "World of Starcraft". The videos from Starcraft II give a distinct impression that they are developing the world for this very purpose. It will be the launching pad, just like Warcraft III was for World of Warcraft. you mean reading up on as much warhammer 40k they can seeing as blizzard just do not do ideas of their own.

Come on Rob, everyone knows it's World of Starcraft. Just announced it But ... we haven't done any of our splash screens yet! We can't announce a new game without splash screens. Don't you like the splashes?
