Nadeo announces the retail availability of TrackMania United Forever, the
latest installment in the
TrackMania series of stunt racing games. Here's word on the new release,
which, to answer the inevitable question in advance, does not include the
controversial StarForce copy protection program: TrackMania United
Forever, the long awaited sequel to the award winning TrackMania United, is
available in retail today. Test your racing, acrobatic stunt and jump skills in
the ultimate TrackMania game, featuring more modes and more special features.
More modes!
Race Mode – The classic TrackMania mode that made it the global
phenomenon it is today. Race individually, against the computer or challenge
millions of players worldwide.
Stunt Mode - It could be a steep downhill track, the car version of a
skate park or a rally track full of intense jumps. Get the most points in an
allotted time by pulling off aerial 720°s or 900°s, back flips, chain flips,
master flips and any other spectacular stunts.
Platform Mode – This is for drivers who like a real challenge. The
toughest tracks await competitors as jumping, manoeuvring and cornering are put
to the test on challenges where only perseverance will prevail.
Puzzle Mode – Racers must build tracks in accordance with predetermined
starting places, finishing places and checkpoints. Once track editing is
complete, racers need to get the best time possible to complete the challenges.
If players fail, it may not be their driving, but their track editing that is at
fault.
More than a game!
Join the TrackMania community and race millions of opponents worldwide. Share
player-created tracks and showcase customised cars. It is only with TrackMania
United Forever that all track environments and car types are available to
compete with.
TrackMania United Forever is the only way to get the complete TrackMania
experience and is available now.

You guys can bitch and moan all you want, but the only thing they did was capitalize off their fantastic product
You call it bitching, I call it making my own decision and sharing that opinion in a related topic.
They would have still capitalized off of their fantastic product by selling even more copies of it at $30.
Was in sneaky for them to raise the price? Yeah. But they never said it wasn't.
Exactly. They never said they were going to raise the price or sell it as a "new & renamed" product. They announced it as FREE additional content, and then released it as FREE additional content, and then the following day jacked up the prices on all the digital distro services, including their own. I guess they're entitled to raise the price after a "free" patch, and you're entitled to do what you want. Don't like the price hike? Don't buy it.

wahh wahh wahh, Trackmania United was an absolute steal at $30 when it first came out, let alone the discounted price of about $23 I got the game for. $40 is a perfectly reasonable price for the absolutely tremendous amount of content you get.
Was in sneaky for them to raise the price? Yeah. But they never said it wasn't. The Forever patch was completely free for every person who already owns United, just as they said.
You guys can bitch and moan all you want, but the only thing they did was capitalize off their fantastic product, and increase the price to be in line with the content the game offers.

Sorry I don't respond to "social experiment" forum trolls that post Rick-Roll links.

It's not about the $10. I can afford the extra $10. It's the principal of matter.
Exactly. I think there were at least 3-4 of us that said, and I quote, "Cool, I am going to grab it off of Steam this weekend". The next day, it was 40. LAME! So...what if they raised the price, say, $1? Would you whine like a little bitch and say "it's the principal of matter (sic)" or would you just buy it, and pay the extra dollar? At what point does it become a problem based on "principal"? $3? $7? 9?

$10 whole dollars for a patch?
Yet people find it ok to pay $15 a month to kill the same shit over and over in WoW.
Give me a break. Patch was released free one day. The next day, the price on the base product went from $30 to $40 overnight.
I was specifically waiting on picking up TM for a sale price on Steam from the $30, and also waiting for the content patch as I knew it was coming. Patch was released. Next day the games were updated on Steam, along with a $10 increase to the base product price.
It's not about the $10. I can afford the extra $10. It's the principal of matter. I was already holding off to get it cheaper than $30 because I don't expect to put a lot of time into the game. So raising the price to $40 for a content patch that was FREE, simply doesn't fly with me.
I've got plenty else to play, and there are many good racing games out right now or coming out very soon. GTA4 (not exactly racing, but all Ive played lately), GRiD (in June), Burnout Paradise, GT5 Prologue, Midnight Club LA, Wipeout HD & Ferrari Challenge. With all that great racing game competition this year, they made a mistake raising the price. So they lost a sale from me until the price comes down, and I know they lost quite a few sales due to the increase.

hehehehehe - I will wait for the regular price. Ditto. Waiting for a price drop on Steam. I refuse to support raising of base prices for content patches that were supposed to be free.
