Aspyr
Support now offers a new version 1.3 patch for the PC edition of Guitar
Hero III. The update adds a "Front Row Cam" for low-end configurations,
laptop-specific optimizations, Intel X3100 graphics support, a battery meter
icon for supported laptops, and a wi-fi meter for supported laptops.

Can't remember where I read it, but the reason for no DLC on the PC was that it's easier to pirate the music on a PC than it is on an Xbox360... Yeah...

i love my PC version... still fun with friends since i have a big monitor, and online play is solid... but STILL no DLC. What's the deal Aspyr? can't be that hard for PC downloadable content. Way easier than the other systems. At least they are still patching it. *shrugs*

There are lots of custom songs out there. Go to the ScoreHero forums under Software. (You may have to register first.) Enjoy.

A large part of the allure of Guitar Hero is playing the game with friends in the same room. Televisions are much more likely to be used for side by side multiplayer as computers are typically not as group oriented. The screens are usually smaller, they don't have couches for multiple people to sit at. It is just not a conducive environment to have a large following for a game such as this.

Rhythm-based party games don't really work on PC. Which is good because I don't like them.
