Sony to Sell Linux Kits for Playstation 2
has word that: "The consumer electronics giant said it would begin selling
disks to install the Linux operating system (OS) on PlayStation 2 and tools to
develop Linux applications." Thanks Andrew Randt. There's a
Summoner 2 Q&A on the electric playground talking with Anoop Shekar, producer
on the upcoming sequel. Also there's a
J Allard Interview on Computer and Video Games discussing plans for the
European launch of the Xbox. There's a Commandos 2 preview on xbox.ign.com
looking at the upcoming Xbox installment in this squad-based tactical action
combat game. Finally, as witness by the following reviews, Drakan: The Ancients' Gates Soars Onto PlayStation 2.
Console Reviews: Drakan The Ancients' Gates (PS2) GameZone.com
and GameSpot,
and Final Fantasy X (PS2) on TFH Gaming.

whats with the exorbitant price in the US of japanese products? $300 in the US v. $190 in Japan and $215 in Europe?!
Are they expecting the unlikely event of exchange rate reversals by June?!
I for one will skip purchasing it until it slides to a more equitable price, or look for alternative sources. |

I think it's one of those "if you don't understand it, it's not for you" type things.

Man the PS2 is turning into a little PC.... I thought the whole point of buying a console was so not to have to install new OS's or patches disks or anything just plug in & play! I am not trying to start a flame war i am just expressing my disbelief so trolls "teh mane mahn" grow up & do not freak out & start flaming for no reason! Like i said i am just expressing my disbelief, hopefully by stating this twice people will understand. |
