whats with the exorbitant price in the US of japanese products? $300 in the US v. $190 in Japan and $215 in Europe?!

Are they expecting the unlikely event of exchange rate reversals by June?!

I for one will skip purchasing it until it slides to a more equitable price, or look for alternative sources.

I think it's one of those "if you don't understand it, it's not for you" type things.

Man the PS2 is turning into a little PC.... I thought the whole point of buying a console was so not to have to install new OS's or patches disks or anything just plug in & play!
I am not trying to start a flame war i am just expressing my disbelief so trolls "teh mane mahn" grow up & do not freak out & start flaming for no reason! Like i said i am just expressing my disbelief, hopefully by stating this twice people will understand.

I have always wondered why Blue doesn't capitalize Electric Playground.
Because the site itself doesn't seem to.

2. Reuters has it wrong. Jan 30, 2002, 10:06 anon@130.18

Read the official press release from Sony. The kit will actually be $199 in the US, and it will be released in May, not "Summer 2002".
