They got funded yesterday. This game seems like it has great potential but I'm not sure who the guys making this really are. Two statements in the FAQ raised red flags for me.
"$25K is not enough to cover dev team - how do you intend to finish your game with a budget like this?

We invest our money. Moreover, Belarus average salary is $300 per month, so $25K really hits the spot." How exactly are they going to invest it? If they used the current $26,928 for salary alone they could only hire about 7 people assuming they only paid 300.OF course they have to spend money on office space or rent, utilities and other associated costs. This worries me.

"Can you take credit for The Last of Us or Mass Effect?

Nope, our team worked on mobile and social games that are not worth mentioning."
Who exactly are these guys? They don't state who they are and a quick google search brings nothing up. Brand new studio and two guys who refuse to say what experience they have makes me really nervous about this games future.

This could be an awesome game and I really hope it is. However, I hope all the backers read the pitch thoroughly.

They've started updating so thats a start.

Sadly this KS shows that you need to actually be fully behind it 24/7 if you want to succeed.

an entire week without updates, no greenlight campaign.. etc.

If I were to do a KS, it'd be synced with a greenlight campaign on Steam, a proper demonstration of gameplay, and updates that I'd have planned out ahead of time every 1 or 2 days.

And most importantly, KS sells hope, not games.

Hi,

I saw your KS a while ago, and thought you have an interesting idea for a game. Not doing any KS right now, but will keep an eye on your game and may pick it up after launch if reviews are good.

Good luck, and hope you make funding.

Hey, guys. We are Weappy, small development studio located in Minsk, Belarus. In the past we separately worked on different social games, but six month ago gathered together to make videogame of our dreams — This Is the Police. It's a strategy/adventure game about power and corruption. You'll play as beloved and honest police chief who is going to do some bad things. Player will dive into the world of corruption, bribes, kickbacks and other fun. You can read about our game right here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-is-the-police

You broke your kickstarter link, this is how you do it right

Ps.: As much as I like a good story, gameplay video or at least the prototype footage how gameplay is envisioned, needs to be the video you show to first comers.. currently I have no idea what kind of game this is, and I am not going to be reading 5 pages of stuff to find out. ,P
