“This effort is going to make it possible to introduce a whole new generation of gamers to LucasArts’ classic games,” said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts. “It also gives more people a chance to play our games by making them available long after they’ve disappeared from store shelves. We hope our fans are as excited as we are about our plans and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next. This is just the beginning.”
This series of launches continues LucasArts’ new mission to revitalize its deep portfolio of beloved gaming franchises.
LucasArts is the most hilariously mismanaged company in the industry, they are sitting on IP's worth hundreds of millions yet squander them at every opportunity. Most of their success comes from luck or bandwagoning new genres.

It's kind of a cool announcement, but really, I own most of these and have already played them so...
I would pay $500 for all those together if they were redone with just new engines. Especially The Dig, Loom and Indy 3 & 4 (would pay $1000 if the whole X-Wing series was included too).Find about 10000 other people as crazy as you and I bet you could get them to do it!
About what I expected. I already own all the games in that list that I am interested in. Were this for GOG, where all the DRM would have been removed, I might have bought 1 or 2 again just for that. As it is, it's still good news for anyone who has missed some of those.
(Republic Commando was actually much better than I thought it would be and would be worth 5 or 10 bucks.)
