Someone that was interviewed yesterday (sorry, forget his name, but he was a partner with Michael @ MMJ) said that a lot of Michael's handlers told him it was a bad idea to hang out with children, and why did he persist? His answer "Because children are the only ones that tell me the truth." I suspect he was weary of all the leeches in his life, lying to him, telling him what he wanted to hear, just so they could keep their hands in Michael's wallet. He probably became a recluse to get away from a society that just wanted to take. He longed for his innocence lost and tried to relive it through his relationships with children. The very thing he thought was his sanctuary ended up just being more of the same, when conniving parents decided to take from him once again. At that point, he had no place to turn for peace. I imagine his spent his final years as a pretty tortured soul. I hope he has finally found peace.

Sad couple of days indeed, with more ahead of us for sure...
@PHJF - I played O2 for about 5 hours. It's more of the same but there are differences... It feels like Fable 2 more than ever. The lil runts don't always break everything when you use sweeping. You can't ransack homes anymore. The whole thing has a different feel that just doesn't fit the first one. It's not bad, just think the first one was better... That may be because the humor of this one is lacking or lame, and the surprise and freshness has worn off. Load screens are long, and plentiful. I got to the second area and it had me running around in a giant ship, rowing manually. It had me doing it so much I put the game down. I am not blown away by this game at all. It's not horrible, just a let down in some ways.

"But I can separate his professional work from what he does (or rather, did) in his private life"
Except for one small fact. You have no idea what his private life was like. Nothing except hearsay and innuendo. People like you make statements as if they are facts, when you don't have any information at all.
Current society is being dirtified and filthified on purpose to destroy society. Once upon a time, adults had healthy relationships with children. Those children grew up to be healthy adults.
Now, according to all public media, you cannot have a relationship with a child unless it is sexual. That may be true for the media people, but for us regular people out here in the real world, we can have loving relationships with children for no reason other than we want them to turn out to be the best human beings they can be.
Don't listen to the sex perverts in the public media. We all know that the media is about finding young children, young talent, and sex perverting with them. That is what Hollywood casting is about. Having sex with all the young people who want to act. You all know it is true.
It is only those media people that are sex perverts with children. Don't let them convince you that all adults are like that. |

Actually there are studies of children suffering from traumatic experiences in their childhood, can be 'stunted' mentally for the rest of their lives. I mean the Neverland Ranch was a kids dream come true. And take all the things his father said about his appearance with the plastic surgery and I'd say it fits fairly well.
As for the pedo charges.... someone once said that if someone molested your child, could you ever really sit there and say 'yeah a few million dollars is all my childs innocence is worth?'.
Either way I have to agree, I enjoyed listening to his music growing up (Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal), etc, but he did have a few issues. |

The guy never had a childhood, I think once he got stupidly rich he basically went a bit mad and lived like a child as much as he could. He probably saw the children thing as a sleep-over (although that doesn't rule out anything more happening). Bingo.
Micheal was broken from the word go. The baby over the balcony incident kinda shows that. It was a stupid impulsive thing a young kid would do without thinking. That's the way he lived his live, regressed in a childlike state.
That's not to say he did or didn't molest anyone, but I think a tortured soul is finally at peace. |

VoiceofTruth, hardly anything you wrote has anything to do with the charges of child abuse lodged against Jackson. I liked his music, especially Thriller and other material he put out in the 1980's. But the whole explanation by Stanley Katz that he "regressed" to having a mentality of a 10 year old? Give me a break. His relationships with the children he befriended were "good" and we're all cheated if we don't experience the same thing? I'll let you in on a little secret - it wasn't "wide swaths" of "low thinking" people who brought Jackson down - he did a pretty good job all by himself.
And I believe I'm being more than generous in saying that about the man. He was a great artist, like nin mentioned - the Elvis of this generation. But I can separate his professional work from what he does (or rather, did) in his private life and still enjoy his music. Still doesn't mean I cared for him as a person. Aside from a few staunch views I have, I'm a very apolitical when it comes to celebrities and politicians, but Jackson was for all objective reasons a pedophile. |

shul - because Michael Jackson is a much bigger story I presume. She's a bigger loss to society but Farrah Fawcett isn't particularly well known outside of the USA and probably not to many younger Americans either.

The guy was a freak anyway you slice it, and not in the good way. That's a shame, because pre-freak MJ was great singer and dancer. Anyway, he still made some great music. Still odd he died so comparitvely young like Elvis. |

a strange day indeed. I wonder why blue chose to put Michael first and Farrah second.
Anyway, time may tell if Mike was a pedo but Farrah, as all evidence indicate, took it bravely, I can just hope that when my time comes I'll be as brave as she was. |

The pedophilia accusations against Michael Jackson were an attack by the people who shall not be named, to force him to give up his half of the Beatles music catalog.
The Jackson trial charges were announced on the same day that George Bush went to London and 100,000 people turned out to protest. The Jackson charges covered the news, and the 100,000 people protesting Bush in London were ignored.
Michael Jackson was a victim of evil people, and the low thinking of a wide swath of the populace who have accepted their training by those evil people that any relationship between a child and an adult must be dirty and sexual.
A relationship between an adult and a child can be good just like Michael Jackson said his relationships were good. If you cannot imagine what that kind of relationship is like, you have been cheated. Your head has been filled with filth instead of with the possibilities of goodness. |

he was probably the most popular person in the world. A pop era is over. RIP. Yeah (like it or not), he was this generations Elvis Presley. You're already seeing people gathering in public...people just loved him, no matter what he did.
