EA announces The Sims 3 is their most successful PC launch ever:

I certainly am enjoying the game myself, and I haven't enjoyed The Sims since the first, which I played for a few days and got over the 'oh this is new' feeling. Like others, I haven't even touched the building aspect, I'm just having fun. Funny thing is I couldn't stand Sims 2. This looks basically the same but it 'feels' completely different. I'm not sure why.
