When's this supposed to be released anyway?

Ugh, the faction wars were the most disappointing and useless parts of Clear Sky IMO. I spent far too much time fighting for the Duty side thinking that it would help me somehow in the wider game, only to be disappointed that taking over Freedom was impossible thanks to Freedom's constant respawning despite my attempts to completely destroy them, and even after that, you see no benefits from such a take-over anyway.

It was a pretty broken system, and I won't miss it for the benefit of seeing polish in other areas in Call of Pripyat.

I'm sure modders will add faction wars again. It was a pretty sweet feature...when it worked that is.

It's a shame that they have felt the need to scrap the faction wars, as they were one of the better features of Clear Sky - they were certainly a bit sketchy at times but there was huge potential there. Still, I'd rather they focus on things they can actually achieve and apply the level of polish to win over those on the sidelines. However, I'd be surprised if they do enough to make it appeal to the mainstream - I imagine the difficulty level will still be punishingly hard and the accessibility still lacking, not that that matters to me.

I can't wait.

Glad to see that question #1, and Oleg's response, addresses stability, playability, and polish. If they gave us simply more of the same, with improved polish, more detail and quests, and a tweaked feature set, I don't think that many fans would complain.
