@ColBlister
That's what I'm doing I'm going to "try" and get a ticket on the next round & sell it. Some folks say you cant sell the tickets but that's not true. You have until June 13th to have the name on your ticket changed. Your name however MUST match whats on your ID & ticket when you pick up.

I don't understand why they don't just auction them off. I bet they can get 5x as much as they are with their flat-rate scheme. Or, better yet, sell them using a pay-per-bid scheme like swoopo.com uses. If their bids were limited to penny increments, I bet they could bag $2,000 per ticket by the time bidders give up, and the "winners" could brag they got a BlizzCon ticket for only $20.

Well it seems they should be doing more of these. At least make it bi-annual and do the other one on the east coast.

It seems they need a fuckload bigger venue, based on the way tickets sell out...

I'm a bit out of the loop here but what is so great about this convention? Don't the tix cost $120?

Everything I've seen of it is very dull. Just wondering what the draw is, not flaming just curious.

Blizzard is genius to get that kind of scratchola just for a convention and hype machine.

Do you like the Blizzard game franchises (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo)? If so, imagine a con dedicated to those games. Hell, I was stoked last year being able to play SC2 and Diablo 3. That alone was worth admission for me. Happy2

I entered the queue at # 8655 and knew I was SOL when 77% of tickets were left when I hit # 8019. Sucks to be me. There is the second batch going on sale in two weeks, but I probably won't be lucky like last year.

I have to admit, the queue system worked a lot better than I expected (better than Blizzard's online-store imploding last year). And all the QQing on their forums is epic fail / lulz. Some people seriously need to get a life.

I was hitting refresh 2 minutes until noon central. They went on sale a little early (11:59) and when my page came up I was 4086 in line.... I waited 30 minutes... it got down to 8% left and I was 343 in line and then it jumped to SOLD OUT.

My friend was 600 ahead of me and get me a ticket.

Crazy! But fun... vacation from the family here I come!

wowinsider reports that there was a 12,000 long queue inside the first minute. they also go on to mention that a staffer of theirs was at position 5000 and didn't get a ticket. that's crazy. in a manner of speaking, they were sold out inside half a minute
