I remember reading that the Little Sisters you adopt are invulnerable to enemies in Bioshock 2. When they get attacked by splicers, it just slows down their harvesting, which means that you have to fight off more waves of baddies. She doesn't have a health bar.
Awesome! That is actually cool, and honestly, a relief. I wouldn't have a problem with in the least.
I hope they remodulate the little sister voice to the same pitch as the old ones. It also doesn't sound as scary as the original. To me their voices are kind of trademark sound bytes for the franchise. I know it's hard to make new speech and get the same person or even get the same sound, but you gotta try harder lol. Maybe I will get used to it and then they will both sound "right". |

Though, as an aside, what is your personal threshold of what constitutes piracy? The act of making the entire game freely available? Downloading cracks that bypass DRM? I realize the question wasn't directed at me, but I found it interesting enough to answer anyway I never bypass DRM myself. Instead, I bypass the entire game when the DRM is too annoying. That basically means limited installs; I can live with online activations as a necessary evil and to be honest, I've never had a problem with it. Back to DRM bypassing however, I guess I don't really consider it piracy so long as you legally purchased the game and it's not with the intent of distribution. I suspect the law would disagree though. |

Which means this is the same as the last mission prior to fighting the boss fight (Fontaine). The only threat while escorting in the first game was from quickly hacked turrets. All the problems occured "defending 1 point" x3. If they give a way to heal her, and she actually heals on her own between, I don't see it as being too bad. It was doing 3 in a row (and that is assuming her health bar will be as large) that made it problematic. This makes sense, since you can't hurt them and the Little Sis who had a health bar in Bioshock 1 had already been saved.
I wish I remembered where I read this. It was probably a link from here a few weeks back. I remember one of the devs saying that they hated escort missions too. |

I believed all the DRM from Bioshock is now removed...I could be wrong though. The install limits have been removed. You still have to activate the game initially. I bought Bioshock when it dropped below $20. Same with Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge. DRM = bargain bin. Hopefully 2K will follow suit with EA and Ubisoft and not use DRM in Bioshock 2 otherwise it'll be bargain bin once again. |

The primary antagonist is a "Big Sister", so that seems to follow on from the teaser trailer. In this vid you only see her in a suit of armour.
Ok so we have a big sister in the armor. Gotcha. It was so tiny it looked like a souped up little sister although they did call it "Big Sister".
In this teaser trailer you play the prototype Big Daddy but after the fall of Rapture in the first game. The vid + commentary explains that quite plainly.
So more of the same. Not a bad thing just want to know what to expect. Legend of Kyrandia 3 had fing laugh tracks. I don't take any sequal at face value!
As for escort missions, this vid shows that you carry Little Sisters on your back and only have to guard them whilst harvesting Adam. They don't move around, they just stay still in the same place so to me this looks more like defending a single point than escort missions Which means this is the same as the last mission prior to fighting the boss fight (Fontaine). The only threat while escorting in the first game was from quickly hacked turrets. All the problems occured "defending 1 point" x3. Every game just about now days seems to contain a level or two that you just hate and are glad to pass. Which is ok for one play through. The problem arises when you consider playing the game again, and then you realize, "Oh, I would have to do x, and y, again... Nah...". And then you put the game down and move to the next. I just don't want a sequal crammed full of reasons not to play it again. |

Having now watched the trailer, I'm really interested in playing the sequel. I tend to take a game on the whole of its context and Bioshock, as a story and universe, has a great deal of awesome context with small, often overlook, touches of extraordinary detail.

Yeah, Verno apparently likes to boast about being a thief. I don't really get it myself but whatever. Yup and I have reported him to Blue, primarily for his new signature.
Verno's sig - Pirating all PC games from here on out, only purchasing console games. Screw the PC gaming industry. The way Verno has been acting the last few weeks, quite frankly I hope he is banned for actively promoting piracy. |

grown woman who was obviously a little sister at one time. That apparently isn't being followed. The primary antagonist is a "Big Sister", so that seems to follow on from the teaser trailer. In this vid you only see her in a suit of armour.
If you are the first Big Daddy, you should be meeting people that were dead in the first game, and revisting old places that look fresher than the first game. In this teaser trailer you play the prototype Big Daddy but after the fall of Rapture in the first game. The vid + commentary explains that quite plainly.

And was it the game after this they were talking about seeing Rapture in it's hayday and how the downfall occured? Now that's what I'd love to see. My understanding is that parts of it are set before but most of it is set afterwards. Also, the multiplayer is apparently based upton the pristine version. |

I'll play it for sure as I loved hte original, but the design for this follow-up seems a little weak. And was it the game after this they were talking about seeing Rapture in it's hayday and how the downfall occured? Now that's what I'd love to see. |

| I would have probably bought PC if the game wasn't hampered by DRM. I did buy the Xbox version, finished it. Then grabbed the PS3 version and recently finished it. The PS3 version had all the dlc built in excepts for challenge rooms which was nice. I felt the load times were better on PS3. I think Xbox had better graphics but had FPS slow down. PS3 had no slow down and had better fog effects (heavily used in the game). Some texture pop in plagued the PS3 as well. It all felt like someone new to porting to the PS3 handled to game. |
