Mr. T Games Planned

The ZootFly Website reveals they have secured the official Mr. T graphic novel license from Mohawk Media, and unveils their plans for a game in which Mr. T and game designer Will Wright take on Nazis (thanks Mike Martinez and Joystiq). While it seems possible this is an April Fools' bit that's been overlooked, we pity the fool that would joke about something so serious. Here's word:

The games will feature knuckle-whitening action-adventure, furious brawler combat, gravity-defying platforming, and environmental puzzles.

The first game will see Mr. T take on Nazis and their gigantic machines in the varied universe of South American rain forests, lost ancient cities, industrial complexes and contemporary military installations.

Along with Mr. T and other characters from the graphic novel, the game will feature non other than Will Wright. In this universe, Will Wright is not a top-notch game designer but a top-notch American geneticist who was kidnapped and coerced to work on a diabolic plan. Mr. T and Will Wright will join forces to annihilate the Nazis and their hardware.

Platforms include PS3, Xbox360, Wii and PC.

I suppose so... someone's welcome to tweak it for use against a dark background. If it works better than the original, I'll be happy to replace it.

Problem with that smiley Xymph is that the mohawk disappears. It looks like a goateed smiley with a receding hair line.

Is there really a market for T games?

There's always a market for badass people! That's one thing that doesn't age from generation to generation.

Oh great, another "Black Guy from '80s TV fighting the Nazis" game. Don't we have enough of these already?

I like Mr. T. I even watched his recent show, I pity the fool. But he peaked in the 80's. Is there really a market for T games? And yeah, this does seem like a left over April Fools joke.

Will I get to play a night elf with a mohawk?

Nope. Mr. T already has that character.

I'd be down with an A-Team game.

It has to be a joke though. I wonder how much Will Wright charges for the use of his name and likeness in a video game.
