Slate Magazine - Should the United
States ban a Japanese "rape simulator" game?
"Considering the impossibility of policing the Internet, as well as the
availability of English RapeLay translations and forums for years before any
politician caught wind of the game, it's unrealistic to think that the game
could be banished from America. Very few Japanese developers make an effort
to sell eroge to the West, and those that do, like Peach Princess and
G-Collections, make content modifications to suit foreign norms and laws.
(For example, all underage characters' ages get rounded up to 18, no matter
how young the character looks.) These Westernized versions are sold in the
United States via import sites like J-List and Play-Asia. Neither company
sells RapeLay, but they do offer the popular eroge Yume Miru Kusuri. That
game, while more edgy than it is violent, does focus on sex-crazed,
underage-looking high schoolers with drug problems and suicide fetishes.
RapeLay is appalling, but titles like Yume Miru Kusuri—sold in America after
being unconvincingly modified so the protagonists are "18," making it tough
to peg the games as outright illegal—would make far more constructive
targets for political outrage."
Edge
Online - Why the -Age of Steam- May Not Last? By Brad Wardell, CEO of
Stardock, operator of Impulse.
"It's far too soon to assume that Steam will continue to dominate five years
out. Thus far, it has largely operated without serious competition. With
other services such as Impulse, Games for Windows Live, Amazon.com,
GamersGate and others upping their own services with unique and compelling
features, expanding their catalogs, and focusing on providing good customer
experiences, I would be very surprised if Steam continues to have such a
large market share (as a percentage) even 18 months from now."
CNET - Is the
video game industry losing the PR battle?
"Based on what I've seen so far from the industry, it's willing to take a
beating from government, lawyers, authors, and concerned groups and it does
little to fight back. Meantime, I receive e-mails from parents on an almost
daily basis asking me why video games are so bad for their kids. Whenever
that happens, I write them a short but informative e-mail saying, 'They're
not as bad as some groups say and here's research to prove it.'"

What kind of retort is that? Are you joking? I don't make serious replies when people are making analogies involving Jews, sorry that's just ludicrous. You want to talk about games, talk about games, don't make analogies that have nothing to do with the situation.
The simple fact is that multiple people have pointed out the endless flaws, hypebole and twisting of facts in your posts I notice you accuse me of this but point out none yourself. Pot kettle, etc?
and you respond with three lines that make no sense and don't address those arguements. It's like having a political debate with a 12 year old who just makes fart jokes. You make an entirely contentless reply just to flame me and I'm the 12 year old? Alright I guess, I would be happy being that 12 year old who isn't doing that.
The simple fact of the matter is that other than convienence, there is no area where consoles are "better" than PCs. Luckily for console makers, convienence is key for capturing the mass market. Ah the true purpose of your post revealed, more superiority nonsense based on what exactly? There are many genres better suited to consoles alone, ignoring every other good aspect about them. There are many positive and negative aspects to both PC's and consoles which I've been repeating for a page now. You conveniently ignore that and accuse me of being biased towards consoles.
People aren't making games like Crysis anymore to push graphics, it isn't profitable and dev budgets are stretched as it is. Even Crytek is releasing games multi-platform now. There are some market realities that some of you need to face, one of them is that console and PC destinies are intertwined now.
There will always be good console exclusives and good PC exclusives but they will be far fewer going forward. That's ignoring the indie side of the market springing up on digital distribution services like XBLA, Steam, Impulse and so on.
You can argue about tech specs all you want, frankly it doesn't matter.
Unfortunately that's not what you are arguing. You haven't been saying "My PC is superior to consoles", you've been saying that PCs in general are superior. Which is easily and demonstrably proven false. You might even get away with saying that "PCs have the potential to be superior to consoles", but you might as well claim a Pinto has the potential to be faster than a Ferrari. Exactly. Ignoring that the majority of new computers sold are laptops with questionable GPU's(if any dedicated GPU at all), the enthusiast market is dwarfed several times over by people with "eMachines" as it was so eloquently put.
