You can't polish a turd, it's that simple.
The online numbers will spike briefly, but they will then quickly return to the abysmal numbers that UT3 has enjoyed since release, once people realize, that while it may have a new coat of gloss, a shiny turd is still a turd, just a shiny one. |

| very generous offer. This is the kind of thing PC game makers need to do more often rather than put out 10 minute demos that gives you little idea of what you'll be buying. |

Well I know what I'll be doing this weekend. I'm one of the rare ones who loved the original UT3 despite its UI problems. It'll be nice to see some populated servers.
I'm also of the opinion that anyone who didn't enjoy UT3 already hasn't spent enough quality time with the dark walker.

Hopefully the new UI enhancements and other goodies can build a new community for the game. It's a shame some aspects of the game were so consolized and turned people off, because at the core of it UT3 is a great title.
Update is downloading insanely slow due to everyone downloading the whole game for the free weekend. |
