Were you no longer working in the building when bombing round two came around? No I was not there in 2001. I was here, in fact. In '93 I was working as a temp at the WFC.

| that is interesting Blue. I'm a NYC'er too. Honestly as I get older I believe almost nothing anyone tells me these days if its offered as an "official announcement." There always an agenda and it is usually involves lying to cover asses. |

. I'm sure if you were first on the scene with an accident victim you would instinctively tell them they are fine. Not telling the truth when it is no longer entirely in the public's interest not to is another matter. Here is my first responder training:
Show up at scene with multiple dead and many walking wounded. Guy with a huge gash on his arm is laying on the ground, check the situation and it goes something like this:
"Oh my god my arm - help me I can't feel my arm!" 'Sir, everything is fine, medics will be here soon. Just stay calm, you have a small scratch on your arm.'
Then start asking questions to get the person focused on something else until medics arrive.
It is a MUST that you keep as many people calm as possible. Majority of people aren't trained for emergency situations and will quickly freak out and be very irrational. Many people go into shock.
Anyway. I didn't know much about the first one - that is an interesting insight Blue. |

I doubt it would be someone making it up at the time. Someone opened the manual, found the entry for "bomb goes off in garage" and followed the instructions to "advise occupants of air conditioner failure; thus avoiding panic scenario 13b while communicating necessity for orderly evacuation". (obviously illustrating, not real quotes)
Wiki quote, my empahsis: "Altogether, six people were killed and 1,042 others were injured, most during the evacuation that followed the blast."
Sometimes you have to accept that "the man" is right to lie, and even that telling the truth is the absolute worst thing they can do. I'm sure if you were first on the scene with an accident victim you would instinctively tell them they are fine. Not telling the truth when it is no longer entirely in the public's interest not to is another matter. |

so, despite it being 20*f outside, I read the first line and had to look at the calendar to see that it wasn't september. Brain fried. Same thing, the first WTC attack really seems so inconsequential now. |

Tanto you are assuming that Earth supports intelligent life, Im not really that sure about that....
Oh and about the Man sticking it to You and whatnot....Im sure that widespread panic would not really be an issue in New York, so they really shouldnt have lied and instead said: "A van full of chemical explosives exploded and just rocked the building, please proceed in an orderly fashion out of the building"

Obviously there's going to be other planets supporting sentient life. The question isn't, are there. The question is, where are? |

The man will alway stick it to you, Blue. That's why every now and then it's essential you stick it to the man! The American gubment has done far worse to its own citizens.
Here's some clips on Youtube from the A&E special they did on just SOME of the biological and chemical tests on an unsuspecting U.S. public.

Chilling stuff, and you know this is all just the tip of the iceberg, as it's only the stuff the government has actually admitted to! |
