Ubisoft's Big Mac Attack

Ubisoft announces plans to expand their portfolio of Mac titles as they have partnered with TransGaming to offer Mac editions of their titles at retail and to expand their downloadable catalog of Mac titles available at the Ubisoft Digital Store and GameTree Online. Word is:

Ubisoft will release the award-winning Prince of Persia and Shaun White Snowboarding to the Mac community in March 2009 via Ubisoft's online digital store, GameTree Online and at traditional retail locations. Mac versions of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation(TM): Hard Evidence(TM), Rayman Raving Rabbids® and Petz® Sports will also be released at select retail establishments for the first time in March 2009.

Unfortunately this really isn't that exciting. I'm all for more Mac games so that I don't have to dual boot, but only if they're going to be native. Anyone that has used Cider/WINE understands just how poorly it performs, it's unacceptable.

4. Prices off Feb 19, 2009, 16:59 SevereTireDamage

I applaud the effort, but their prices are too generally too high. I'm willing to Boot Camp when the equivalent PC prices are way, way lower, usually because these ports are often old as it is. For example: Jade Empire is $35 for Mac on GT, while you get it for under $10 for PC online. Similarly Sid Meier's Pirates! costs double for the Mac version, which is same price on GT as it is for retail.

The prices should be lower online as well, considering there's no shipping or physical product.

I don't believe in a lot of things, but I do believe in duct tape.
