Tomb Raider Movie Reboot

The Hollywood Reporter confirms rumors that another Tomb Raider movie is in the works that will "reboot" the cinematic version of Lara Croft, since reboot is the new black. They take some air out of the idea that Megan Fox is the new Lara, saying: "An actress who could play the role Angelina Jolie made famous would likely come on after a writer and director are attached." The article describes the wrangling involving these movie rights: "Paramount previously made the two movies based on the game, but the rights have since reverted to Eidos. When Time Warner upped its stake to 19.92% in Eidos in December, films rights to the property were included as part of the deal." This leads to some speculation from MCV that Warner may yet take over Eidos, as has long been rumored. Thanks Mike Martinez and Dark Horizon.

Lol, kids can see that at any pool, why not on a game site? What you leave the pool or worst try to get girls with nipples removed from the pool cause they get all pointy when wet?

I'm all for Rhona Mitra playing lara.. she's hot as hell.

And if she took her top off (which she's done enough times) as as lara in the movie, it would be an astronomical event for the fanboys.

Never seen a Megan Fox movie, looks good but doesn't look muscular and if she doesn't have an excellent English accent, no way.

Jack Burton and maybe a little of that guy he played in "Soldier"
Todd.
Russel seems to have a real gift for acting without speaking and made Soldier a favorite, though speaking parts are pretty kick ass too, Big Trouble in Little China.

My pick for lead actress in the reboot is ..... Oprah Winfrey .... Black is back big time, it could have a cameo for Obama too. If they go that way, I would also like to see more full female and male nudity and sex scenes plus a 28 min long jump puzzle scene (ending in nudity).

Best Reboot Ever I say.

That would've been awesome. Kurt Russel could just play the same character as MacReady from The Thing

He was always my first choice for Doom guy. I really think he could have pulled it off. Like you said, a blend of MacReady, Jack Burton and maybe a little of that guy he played in "Soldier" (dunno; watched it once ages ago). He would have been perfect.

Rhona Mitra doesn't seem sporty enough but she's got the accent, the looks and the gravitas. Megan Fox is just a random tart and I have zero faith in her being able to pull off an English accent. Personally I'm all for a reboot of the Tomb Raider movie franchise - the games have made a great comeback so the timing is good. At least this way I'd actually want to play the video-game tie-in.

Oh, and they could just use Rhona Mitra. She's basically B-movie now and already replaced Kate Beckinsale for Underworld 3. And she's English.

Fox is too skinny and hasn't got a big enough rack - even with padding. No, you definitely need a more atheltic gal with some big gazongas. I was watching the Island on TV the other night and Scarlett Johansson has some nice funbags, but she'd need to tone up.

Also, am I the only one who doesn't think Megan Fox isn't that attractive? I'd take Elisha Cuthbert or Moon Bloodgood any day over her.
